Lovage plants for sale – Preorder or pick up at farm late May-June.
Lovage looks and tastes a lot like celery. Great for soups and stews – anything you would normally use parsley or celery in. Fresh leaves can be added to salads. Lovage is high in vitamin C and quercetin (an anti-inflammatory). Cut back bloom stalks to encourage leaf growth. If you let it flower, seeds can be harvested as celery seed but the leaves will become bitter. Lovage plants die back to the ground in winter and reemerge in the spring.
Lovage is also a medicinal herb used to treat inflammation, indigestion, joint pain and headaches. Perennial. Zones: 3-9 Height: 2-4′ Spread: 24″ (Sun)
