100 days. One of the very best! Crème Brulee shallots are highly desired by chefs because they’re easy to peel and their sublime sweetness is unmatched when caramelized (sautéed until golden brown). Shallots are wonderful fresh, too, in salads and dressings. Their sweet complex flavor is milder than onions. Elongated 4″ bulbs with iridescent peachy pink skin. Shallots store well if you don’t gobble them all up first. 2021 AAS Winner!
Each 4″ pot contains multiple seedlings. Separate starts and plant in well-drained fertile soil 4″ apart. Harvest when the tops start to fall over. Allow shallots to dry for a few days to cure before braiding or putting into storage. Height: 12-18″ (Sun)
