100 days. Deep purple-red onions of renowned quality. A perfect, pungent red onion that stores very well. Serve raw in salads, salsas, and as a topping for burgers and sandwiches. Red onions can be used in cooked dishes as well, but the flavor isn’t nearly as strong.
Each 4″ pot contains 15-20 seedlings. Separate onion starts and plant in well-drained fertile soil 4-5″ apart for standard onions or 2″ apart for green onions. Once half the onion tops fall over, push the remainder down and harvest within a week. Allow bulbs to dry for a few days to cure before braiding or putting into storage. Height: 12-18″ (Sun)
