HEIRLOOM: The beautiful, chenille-like tassels of these plants were all the rage in Victorian times! Long burgundy tassels are loaded with tiny seeds called Amaranth, which is often included in 12-grain mixes. To harvest the grain, dry ripe tassels, then crush to release the seeds.
